The farmhouse "Podere Casalino" is located in Tuscany, in the province of Florence, an area that is particularly appreciated for its climate, quietness, beauty of the landscape and for the olive oil production.
Situated 500m above sea level and next to the ancient wood of Vallombrosa, it dominates the valley of the river Arno and the Chianti hills.
This superb scenery is the ideal place for those who love peace and quiet and wish to enjoy very relaxing holidays.

 Location and Sight Seeing
Podere Casalino is in the Reggello ara. In half an hour by car you can reach the famous art centre of Florence which is only 35km from the Farmhouse while Arezzo is 50km and Siena 70km away.
Nearby there are works of art that are worth a visit, such as the Abbey of Vallombrosa, situated in the ancient forest bearing the same name. There are also Romanesque Churches such as the splendid Pieve of St. Agata, Pieve of Pitiana and Pieve of Cascia containing Masaccio's paintings. A "Pieve" is a parish church.
Those who like shopping can visit the near by business centre, known as "The Mall", offering a large range of outlets where you can find the best Italian Fashion Stylist. |
 Information and Accomodation
The ancient Farmhouse "Podere Casalino" has been recently restored and consists of double storied apartments decorated in the old Tuscan style, some rustic stone walls and wooden beam ceilings.
Outside each apartment there is a wide private patio with table and chairs where you can enjoy a romantic dinner in the moonlight.
The atmosphere is simple and domestic, guests can spend their time around the beautiful swimming pool with a fine view, play table tennis or volley ball.
Those who like trekking or mountain bike riding can discover many panoramic views from the pathways. Should you be an animal lover, besides our cats there is the wonderful mare called Carlotta and the sweet she-ass Morellina, that will keep you company. |
